Long term capital loss

Dear experts,
i've paid a (closed ended) mutual fund for last 3 yrs. when i closed it after lock in period i incurred a loss of rs.51000/- is this long term capital loss ? can i do indexation for this loss?
pls guide.

if security transaction tax is paid at the time of redemption / sale, it would go to LTCL and no set off possible

if STT is paid then u will not able to get the credit of loss and there is no indexation benefit for that.
