1. Please share list of valid legal heir certificate for Wife of deceased person FY 2024-25.
2. Can Aadhar of wife be accepted as Legal Heir Certificate as it has name of Husband.

Essential Documents
PAN Card of the deceased person (copy).
Death Certificate of the deceased person (copy).
Proof of legal heirship (any one of the following):
Legal heir certificate issued by a court of law
Legal heir certificate issued by local revenue authorities
Surviving family member certificate (from local authorities)
Registered will
Family pension certificate (from State/Central Govt.)
Letter from the bank/financial institution regarding nominee or joint account holder.
PAN Card of the deceased person (copy).
Death Certificate of the deceased person (copy).
Proof of legal heirship (any one of the following):
Legal heir certificate issued by a court of law
Legal heir certificate issued by local revenue authorities

Sir, is the notarised self declaration on stamp paper by the wife of deceased person l is also valid “legal heir certificate for discharge of tax obligations only”. Due to shortage of time, it’s not possible get other mentioned documents.

If you are nominee of his Bank account, then Bank will issue certificate. That will work.
Or get legal heir certificate from District court, it will be available through any advocate.
