11 May 2011 Wt is t limit criteraia in ST:

1. If TURNOVER exceed 10 lac he have to register or when AMOUNT exceed 10 lac he hv to register.

2. When ST to be PAID if ST is more than 10 lac or more ?

3. If Once registered for ST then have to pay ST even for one penee ?

11 May 2011 1.registration is compulsory when gross receipt exceed Rs. 9 Lac.
2.for first year you have to pay service tax only when your gross receipt exceed Rs. 10 Lac and only on amount exceeding Rs. 10 lac.
3. once you crossed the limit of Rs 10 Lac then you have to pay st on starting point of business in the next year

11 May 2011 means upto 1.3 lac ST could be evaded (10.3 % of 10 lac ) bt once u fall under ST net then even a single penny is taxable.
