I have a query regarding company letterhead.
Does it need to have address of the company/ is it mandatory to mention address in the company letterhead?

The new Companies Act, 2013 under Sec 12(3) (c) makes it mandatory for all Companies to paint or affix its name and the address of its registered office in English , outside every office or place of business and to print the following details in all its business letters, bill heads, letter papers and in all its notices and other official publications which shall ensure transparency in dealings by the company with stakeholders at large1.
1. Name
2. Address of its registered office
3. Corporate Identity Number
4. Telephone number
5. Fax number, if any
6. Email Address
7. Website addresses, if any

I still have a small doubt. Mine is the sole proprietorship firm, so would it be applicable for that also?

03 October 2016 the above said conditions are applicable in the case of a pvt company and not in the case of sole properitorship/partnership firm etc

03 October 2016 but suppose if you have to comply with other law, then what that law says will make a difference. e.g. as per PUNJAB VAT ACT, Invoice must be properly addressed dated, description of the goods, duty leviable must be disclosed on invoice
