my friend's father got a letter from income tax department about non filling of ITR And a transaction of cash occurred in 2009 what to do now plz help actually that cash was deposited in bank for FD

If there was no Taxable Income than you need to just reply in attached form by doing tick against No Return filled due to Income not Taxable.
