I would like to know whether legal formalities are to be followed for allowing women employees working in the night shift in BPO operations, like getting registered in any organisation.

Yes. It is compulsory that you have to inform the nearest police station that you are working in night shift. The total number of employees -men and women and also security arrangements made.
Further you should provide the id proff and address proff of all employees and also their relative contact numbers also should be available.
If you are providing pick up and drop facicility then a scroll book who are the drivers for the day their route and the staff members who will be using the cab.
