what are the legal consequences of docs if the someone has signed over common seal of the company.

27 November 2010 Common seal is a signature of the company.
It is normal for Directors (or authorised personnel) to sign on the side of the common seal as common seal is a very old (British) practice.

There is no legal implication if a signature is put on Common Seal. Though it looks inappropriate, it does not invalidate the seal itself.
