leaving attempt so as to give both groups in next attempt

10 April 2011 hello friends.......i have just completed my coaching march 2011 end and i now i am facing time shortage in preparing for both groups of ca final .......but the problem is that i have filed examination form for both groups of ca final in anticipation that i can easily complete all subject of 8 papers comfortably.....but i now i felt that i was wrong as because 8 papers are not an easy nut to crack........so i am planning to leave this attempt and give nov,2011 attempt with full efforts as because i have completed coaching of all practical subjects and DT......so is it advisable to leave may 2011 attempt and give nov 2011 attempt......i am not over confident but have enough confident that with full hardrwork and dedication , i will get rank in nov, 2011 attempt...... kindly advise me does i really matters in interviews/salary packages if a person clears both group in one attmept or he cleared ca final one by one.......

11 April 2011 Hi, you are facing a problem which a lot of students face. Firstly, there appears to have been a mistake in planning your coaching schedule. Since coaching should be compelted atleast 3-4 months prior to exam.
Next, even if you do not write this examination, it will be counted in the no. of attempts you took to clear the examination. So, my advise will be, utilise whatever time you have to prepare to the best of your levels and not to waste your attempt. No fight is over till the bell rings. Fight it out, best of luck for your exam. If you think you can get a rank in next attempt, then with a lot of hard work you can manage to pass in this attempt itself.
Furthermore, if you wish to take up a job, for the first few years in your career, you will face this question in every HR round, how many attempts did you take to clear CA final, no excuse holds good for clearing it in more than one attempt.

11 April 2011 I agree with Harsh wt he has said. Attempts does matter in interviews but thats secondary.Passing the exam is most imp. So not waste attempt and try for 1 grp atleast.
