Quick Summary

You can post an invoice dated last month (e.g., March) in the current month (e.g., April) even if the previous period is closed. If the March period is still open, you should backdate and post it then. If March is closed, post the invoice in April but create a manual journal entry in March to accrue the expense, then reverse this entry in April when the invoice is officially recorded.

27 April 2024 Can I booked last month invoice bill in April-2024? Incase if i mentioned lastmonth date and posted in current month then what are the issues are happened?

01 May 2024 If you have forgotten to upload March 24 bill. U can upload it in April 24 with March date. No issues.
Accounting entry to be passed in March only.

13 August 2025 If the March period is still open, backdate and post the invoice in March
If the March period is closed:
Post in April
Pass a manual journal entry in March as an accrual (to reflect the expense in March)
Reverse that journal in April when the invoice is recorded
