hey guys & gals!!
i just want to know what would be the last date of payment of tds, service tax, sale tax, Excise duty & Income tax if last date as specified in relevant acts & rules happen to be a public holiday?

If you are liable to pay tax onlIne , then you have to pay on the due date . otherwise your date will be the next day of that public holiday.

As per NI Act, if a due date happens to be a holiday then the next working date shall be considered to be the due date.
If you pay online on any holiday or Sunday the effective date of payment on the challan will be the next working date.
