Last date for submitting income tax challan in bank

15 March 2014 Sir,

In fy 2013-14 I has to pay rs. 4000/- as incomt tax, for that what was the last date for submitting Income Tax in the Bank.

15 March 2014 You can Pay tax at any time before to filing of income tax return for F.Y 2013-14. It is only Rs.4000 means you not liable for payment of advance tax so you can pay it as self assessment tax at the time of filing of income tax return for F.Y 2013-14.

As per section 139(1) the due date to file income tax return for F.y 2013-14 is 31-7-2014, so you can file your return of income for F.Y 2013-14(A.y 2014-15) from 1-4-2014 to 31-7-2014 u/s 139(1).

After 31-7-2014 also you can file your return of income u/s 139(4) but in this case you are liable to pay interest u/s 234A @1% p.m or part of the month on self assessment.

So now you need not to pay any tax.

your tax liability is less than 10K, so you can pay income tax and file your income tax return on or before 31st July'2014 without paying any interest.otherwise(as per expert detailed response)

By following others advise I paid my income tax Rs. 4000/- as advance tax on dtd 12/03/2013. It will cause any problem from IT Dept. to me for paying tax amount as advance tax rather than self assessment tax

19 March 2014 Late payment of tax or non-payment of tax cause problems or penalties to you, but advance payment of tax doesn't cause for any problem to you. So don't worry with this regards it is happy and good to you.
