I want to get labour licence in gujarat what document I will need for it ??

22 July 2013 The following forms and registers would suffice ur initial purpose in guj,

Form-I (get the number of contractors under you registered at ALC) - u will require their name, address, max. no of workers they have applied for license, date of start of work, estimated date of termination of contract.

Form-V (give it to your contractor with the stamp and sign from your establishment) Contractors would apply in Form-IV

Form-XII (maintain the summary of contractor information, u will be required to show in ALC office)

Registers to be maintained by ur contractors,

Form-XIII (register of workmen)
Form-XIV (employment card for workers of contractors)
Form-XVI (Muster roll)
Form-XVII (register of wages)
Form-XVIII (if u use this, then no need for 16 and 17)
Form-XX (register for damage or loss)
Form-XXI (register for fine)
Form-XXII (register for advance)
Form-XXIII (register for overtime)

Apart from this, annual returns under Form-XV to be submitted.

Just note that in gujarat labour license is required for workers 10 or more, whereas in central law it is 20 or more.

Also, take special care in case of sub-contractors.
