I am in a transferable govt job, after every 5 years or so. I got my PAN made in Delhi. Do I need to get the address in PAN changed whenever I go to a new state.

14 August 2012 if you have permanent residence at present pan address then all communication would be done at that address, however you can make it altered on every change by filing form 49A,

in case of communication from department and refund, only pan based address is to be followed.
