there is joint account in bank. first holder is husband & second holder is wife if FD is made in the name of wife from her salary account & maturity Comes in joint account. then in whose income interest will be credited?, since bank account shown in husband's return.

it will be better to show such income in that spouse return whose income is less without considering this income so that tax can be saved.
