We are purchase a machine(X) and send to our vender on job works Challan for my job works so i want to know that what is the time limit of job works challan we received. (In case of Goods)

1.job work challan received in 180 days.
2.job works challan no time limit in case of capital good.

so pls explain

29 November 2012 If capital goods will not be return within 180 days then principal manufacture can't claim cenvat credit on capital goods under rule 4(5)(a) of cenvat credit rules 2004.

but i ask one que
why manufacture not claimed cenvat credit on capital good. he take credit on capital good. 50% current year & 50% next year.
so pls clear this point.

30 November 2012 Only SSI unit(1.5cr to 4cr) can avail 100% cenvat credit in the first year.
