we are mfg.unit.our finished goods is pipe.we want some job work in pipe by another company (job worker)in this condition we have to take permission or only intimation to Central Excise Range and finished foods not dispatched to the consinee from the job worker's premises it means after job work we will received the material in our unit then we will dispated the material to party from our premises.

22 September 2012 intimation only, but the goods sent must return within 6 month with scrap if any.

23 September 2012 you have to maintain a separate register for goods sent for job work...and if the goods are not received within 180 days than the excise duty has to be paid....after the goods are return than it can again be reversed...challan should be in 2 copies...pls go through the excise website.. i think its in pink and blue colour.. not sure
