Job or practice for Orthopaedically handicapped CA

07 January 2010 My name is Amit Pilojpara. I am orthopaedically handicapped. I have completed my C.A. Final in November 2008 and articleship by end of 31st august. Till today i have not got any job from partership firm or company. I am applying for every job but I am not getting it anywhere (may be because of my disability). I am not having much articleship experience. Moreover I have problem in walking. I am Walking with stick.

What should I do - To continue to apply for job or to start a practice?

If answer is to start practice, what should be done for it? I am living in Ahmedabad. Will practice be beneficial to me in long run in Ahmedabad?

First of all, Congrats to you for your great efforts.
As per my opinion, you should definitely go for practice. Ahmedabad being a big city, it has a very good potential. Practicing in Ahmedabad will be beneficial for you in the long run.
Also, I would suggest you to concentrate more on GST (whole part i.e. CGST as well as SGST)which can fetch you a large no. of clients.

Your status is same is mine..

Rahul is correct as far as practice is concerned , otherwise apply for JOB in PSU's. They have the quota in this regards. There are loy of opening coming up with PSU bank. plz check.
