I am a CA and working full time with a MNC in India. Can I also run a business on my name ?

Please suggest as to how can I do it if it is permissible by ICAI ?

16 July 2013 Yes. you can run a business, but you cannot take any professional works as practicing members

22 July 2013 No such intimation to do the business unless you are carrying capacity of director of the business. you can update the membership update form available in the website

22 July 2013 Yes. you can run proprietorship business of your, no restriction for that. when you are taking directorship or employment in your own company or others need to intimate to the institute with due course
