27 February 2014 I have completed my articleship and will be appearing for may 14 final exams. I want to know whether after exams till awaiting results should i pursue a job? If yes then in which field tax, audit, or corporate sector like banking? During my articles i have experience in direct tax only and would also like to join a firm which gives me exposure in stat audit and internal audit. Any such good ca firms for audit in mumbai?

27 February 2014 Dear Friend as you have mentioned that you were being exposed to direct tax looking ahead one can easily make out you had a dummy articleship, and if not why you want to try and expose audits now and not during the tenor of your internship, what i would advise you is to utilize the time you have to explore your likes and potential may it be audit consultancy or any other task instead of going blindly and joining any job try searching for companies who are giving free summer internships, Mckinsey BCG and others are advicable!!

PS.. Rather then focusing on what to do after exams, to whatever it is required to excel in your exams!!

02 March 2014 i was not into dummy articleship but i was in direct tax dept. and i am asking for audit bcoz i want to pursue a career in investment banking or risk mngmt while banks generally have a criteria for internal audit for these areas. as regards to my studies i am doin them but as u know u dnt get a job so easily that is why you have to apply in advance hence i was askin so early. anyways thanks for the reply

13 March 2014 see in case you really want to prosper your career in IB den you need to do CFA so that u ends up in some good analyst position(American Dream).. because being a CA only job you might end up is either legal compliance or internal audit and frankly they have nothing to be related to IB experience..
