28 June 2009 We want the Clarification on following issues regarding submission of hard copy of Income Tax Acknowledgment (i-e ITR-V).

1) Whether Acknowledgement is to be sent via Courier, Registered Post or any other means.
2) Whether in a single envelop, can we sent acknowledgement of more than one Assessee.
3) Whether Acknowledgement is to be sent in Single or Duplicate.

28 June 2009 1.Circular N.3 says"Since the Form ITR-V is bar-coded, assessee is advised not to fold the same and post it in A4 size envelope. The assessee shall furnish the Form ITR-V to the Income-tax Department by
mailing it to “Income Tax Department – CPC, Post Box No - 1, Electronic City Post Office,Bangalore - 560100, Karnataka Hence, you can send it via Courier or Regd Post.2.sending more than 2 ITR in single envelop,this circular does not say anything for this but it is advisable that send only 1 ITR in 1 envelope becoz if post will misplace,only 1 ITR will misplace. 3.single Ack.is to be sent.
