Dear Sir/Madam

I got a message updated in my account that ITR-V Rejected due to filing date has exceeded the due date... i was filed on 18/08/1980 but ITR-V posted after due date..
what is the alternative for Rejection

26 January 2014 Every year the date is extended by the department, so wait for a few weeks.

27 January 2014 There are lakhs of returns for which ITR-V has not been filed or filed late. The issue is being discussed at the higher level and a decision will be taken soon. In case of urgency you may file the revised return.
