Itr-v rejected..

12 December 2012 I had filed my ITR for A/Y 11-12. Now in the status it is shown as ITR-V rejected..

Why have they rejected the ITr?

Moreover, should i revise the return or simply send the ITR-V again to CPc,bamgalore?

I have the acknowledgment from the income tax site.
Do i need to revise it or just sending the itr again wud be sufficient?

Kindly advise.

12 December 2012 Hi

That got rejected because you might not have sent ITR-V form in due time. The due date for submission of ITR-V is 120 days from the date of upload of e-return.

Now send it to Bangalore - CPC. CBDT( Central board of direct taxes) has extended the last date of submission ITR-V for A.Y 2011-12 up to 31-03-2012 or 120 days from the date of upload whichever is later.

13 December 2012 so basically i can just resend the itr-v again.
will that be sufficient or i have to revise the return?|
