Itr 1 filed on 23 june refund 27000 income ten lacs says " wait for processing" . Why delay????

A status of "Wait for processing" for an ITR-1 filed on June 23 is normal. It means e-Verification is complete, and the return is queued at CPC for verification against AIS/26AS. Processing typically takes 2 to 8 weeks; no immediate action is needed unless 60 days pass or a discrepancy notice is issued.
