17 July 2012 Whether income chargable under salary head as per Form-16 may be differ from actully filed return for salary head ,in short whether form 16 is bound on the empolyee for his salary income during filing of ITR ?

18 July 2012 Yes, the salary income shown in Form 16 may be different than actual income from salary. Say you have worked in 2 different company in the same yr. for part period, or your employer do not consider your claim for HRA or Medical Reimbursement benefit. In these cases you have workout your actual income under salary head.
