Income from pension, bank and FD interest only.....not exceeding 5 lakhs.

Has been routinely filing IT retuns until AY 2011-2012.

Has paid self assessment tax for AY 12-13.

Does she need to file income tax returns for AY 2012-2013?

27 July 2012 She need to file return if Income from Interest on FD + Saving bank A/c is Exceeding Rs 10000/-.

27 July 2012 she should not need to fill itr if tds on interest on fdr are already deducted by bank.& total income below rs 5 lacs.

12 August 2012 Income below Rs.500000/-, no need to file income tax return. File it only if you want to claim refund due to TDS if any.
Else no need to file as per ITD circular.
