IT refund help required

01 February 2011 Hello,
My ITR for the year 2008-09 was already filed with the CPC Bangalore, it was filed by a colleague working in an Audit firm.As per the calculation I was about to receive a refund of nearly 10k.
I have not yet received any refund for this ITR filed in 2008.

When I check in the Taxfiling website, it says that the - ITRV has not yet been received at CPC till date.

Also, the problem now is - the ITRV acknowledgement is missing/misplaced.

I request the experts to advice on how to proceed with this request, so as to get the refund.

01 February 2011 First Advise - In future file the return with the help of CA or tax practitioner & pay his fees in advance without demanded by him.
Second Advise - file the paper return with the Income Tax Office alongwith a request to issue refund. You may have been asked why the penalty of Rs. 10,000/- should not be levied for late filing of return.

Take the help of professional person with paid fees. All the best.

01 February 2011 It seems that your case pertians to A.Y. 2008-09 and your return become non-est. In routine, return for A.Y. 2008-09 can not be filed now but get in touch with an expert for getting the refund considering it belated claim of refund as per guidelines of CBDT.
