04 February 2026 my question is ,
we sold goods from karnataka to tamil nadu customer but customer rejects goods due poor quality , after issuing credit note to him can we sell these goods to maharashtra customer from tamilnadu using bill from dispatch from ?
as far as my knowledge is concern as per gst rule karnataka taxpayer can not sell goods from other state ...
what should i do now ?

05 February 2026 A Karnataka GSTIN cannot legally sell goods dispatched from Tamil Nadu without TN registration. After issuing a credit note for rejected goods, the safest options are either returning goods to Karnataka and re-selling, or obtaining GST registration in Tamil Nadu and selling from there. Issuing a KA invoice directly from TN is not permitted and carries high GST risk.
