Issue of invoice under gst

01 May 2017 Dear Experts,

We are manufacturer & also Job worker. And do job work & outright sale to same party in the same state.

For outright sales we have to issue Tax Invoice but for job work whether we issue invoice or delivery Challan & where we mentioned our job work done charges. Earlier we maintained only one series for Outright sales & Job work.

Please advise sir, what we do with job work invoice.

02 May 2017 When your doing job work for anyone then charges of job work will recovered by issuing tax invoice and person who is suppling goods for job work will supply on the basis of delivery challan

05 May 2017 for now GST has not been implied hence kindly follow the same Service tax or VAT which ever is applicable once GST is made online then you can start charging not till then

06 May 2017 sir, we manufacturer & doing job work of a excisable unit and it pay excise duty processed product. hence service tax not applicable. Sir, will the same exemption continue in GST also.

06 May 2017 Service tax will not be there on excisable product however it was meant for Job work if applicable ; the details were not complete I intimated to follow the same as what was been done before till GST is implied and answering to the second part of your question kindly brief what kind of product your being manufacturer and kind of job work your do just with a mere statement it is hard to comment will GST has the same exemption or not..?
