Dear friends
I am importer of tyres and tubes.now ISI mark mandtory on tyres and tubes from November.
Can i import tyres and tubes without ISI mark?
I have stop my import business due to fear that custom not clear the goods without ISI mark?
please solve my problems

SORRY FOR LATE REPLY
according to new regulations, all tyres to be sold in India has to carry the ISI mark.But this is not applicable to tyres manufactured before May 1st., 2010 .
It is quite possbile that the tyres you need are not manufactured in India owing to their relatively small market.Hence there would be a delay since the manufacturer has to incorporate the necessary changes.
