07 September 2009 My parents live in some other place, nearly 1500 kms from delhi, Will it be a valid reason for taking transfer

07 September 2009 In accordance with the decision of the Council, the transfer/termination of articleship in terms of Regulation 56(1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 shall be permissible to an articled assistant on satisfying the any one or more of the specified conditions. One of the condition is stated below:

"Transfer of a working parent to another city involving a distance of minimum 50 kms (on production of a certified copy of the transfer order and the proof of relocation to another City)".

The meaning of the above mentioned condition has been given below:

1) There must be working parent with whom you are living.

2) Your working parent is transferred to another city involving a distance of minimum 50 Kms. and

3) You need to submit a certified copy of the transfer order and the proof of relocation to another City.

If all the above mentioned points are satisfied, then you can transfer your articleship based on above condition..
