20 September 2012 Dear Sir/ Mam,

I am working with a manufacturing co. from last 3 years. we are maintain the excise records manually means Registers. which take to much time and the process is very long. As all of you know today generation is Computerization....So please tell me can we maintain the Excise records through Computer, b'coz i don want to fill the registers manually ....If any N.T. from Excise Department in this area please provide me the brief details with N.T. no.

21 September 2012 private records displaying all the receipt, usage, stock, duty payable, duty paid, credit taken, credit utlized etc are permitted, provided the assesee take print out of such records at end of day sign and keep in file.

DSA/RG1 is not permitted to to be maintained by computer, it should be hard bound format as per old system.
