30 July 2013 Sir, I registered as a student of PE-2 seven years back after passing my graduation. Now institute has come out with direct entry scheme for graduates to join articleship, But can i join my articles after passing IPCC exam group-1 even now like earlier rule, not joining under direct entry scheme because i feel the weightage for articles in Audit firms will be more effective if we pass IPCC and then join, Can anyone suggest me and advice me regarding this whether it is possible to like that or not.

31 July 2013 The option is with you. There is no such concept that if you pass IPCC then there will be mor weight-age during the Articleship. You can join at any time either in direct entry or after IPCC. If you join in direct entry scheme you can complete your CA within very short time then joining after IPCC. Now, you have to decide accordingly.
