20 July 2011 What are the invoice requirement under companies act ? Which section ?

20 July 2011 Dear Vipul,
As far as my knowledge is concern, there is no such section in Companies Act 1956 which describes the Invoice or requirements pertaining to invoice.

However if you will refer the state vat acts or Service Tax Act (Finance Act 1994) or Central Excise Act 1944, you will find the requirement according to those acts. e.g. Excise invoice is goverened by Central Excise Act 1944 or Vat Invoice is governed by Stat Vat acts.

23 July 2011 There is no letter head requirement under the Companies Act. Instead, common seal is one of the basic requirement under the said act.
