Dear expert,
In case of a professional person (lawyer), on the 1st April he should start a new bill book from Sl. no. 01 or he should keep continue the old bill book of previous year.
Please advise me.

If the bill book is serially numbers and printed from the very beginning, he can continue using the same. If he is numbering the same manually then it is good to start fresh with every new financial year.

actually, bills are being issued by a billing software. Then he should continue the sl. no. of previous year or he should strat from 01 in FY 2012-13.
