I have invested in Franklin Tax Saver Mf on 28/03/2012. However, due to continous Bank Holidays, the cheque got cleared on 02/04/2013.
Whether i would get the deduction in FY 2011-12 or 2012-13???

In case of hounering of cheque then the date of deposit into the bank shall be consider as the the date of payment or investment. Thus in your case you get the benefit in F.Y 2011-12.

However, i would like to know whether i have the option of claiming the same in FY 2012-13 as my limit of Rs. 1 Lakh is already exhausted in FY 11-12.

If the date of deposit mentioned on the bond/fund is on or after 1-4-2012 then you can use it for F.Y 2012-13.
