I am qualified CA of May 07 batch. I appeared for the CA campus programme in April 08 & got selected in DE Shaw & Co in their financial operations group in Hyderabad.
Moreover, I have also given interviews for Adventity (KPO) & got through with it as an Analyst-Research & Analytics . The posting is in Mumbai. There i would be required to cater to Credit Suisse Bank (as a top official was there to take the last round of interview). Hence, this would be hardcore investment banking job but in a KPO. But salary wise they are paying really less.
Can anyone suggest which is going to be a better option with me? I am really interested in career growth.

Go there, where you get research work and not just basic data mining. If you had attended PPT you must be knowing the profile offered by both cos. Don't decide on salary basis. It will follow you after 2 years if u are in good profile. Btw, Mumbai job sounds good.

this profile sounds good but when they say exposure to almost all sectors and all product groups and all top institutions it indicates that probably you will not be doing high end work. If you do high end work you can get exposure to max. 2-3 sectors and only 1 product group either equity or debt at a time. So be careful while deciding. Btw, you did not mentioned which company is offering this profile and that of second.

This was the basic job profile as given by the company. The name of the company is Adventity. Its a KPO catering to Wall Street I Banks for their financial modelling & analytical work.
To be precise, right now a new recruitee wud be undergoing thru the training given by the company which goes for about 5 weeks. only after that we will be assgined verticals which are IB , Equity Research , Credit Research and Consulting. The criteria of vertical assignment will be the performance in the period, requirement in the particular vertical and of course ur personal interest. so thats the profile.. as of now .. people get assignments like pitch book making , preparing an initiating coverage report etc.
Moreover, i had my final round of interview with the Client for which we would be working. The client is Credit Suisse Bank & the team wud be entirely dedicated for the same client. you are correct in regard to sector. Only 1 sector or at max 2 sectors wud be allocated.

At the early stage of the career you should not focus more on salary provided you don't have grave financial difficulties. Once you gain experience in the field which you like, which is most important, salary shall follow you.. Always remember there's always room at the top!!! Try to be the best in whichever profile you want to work... Even if a cobbler, be a Bata or Woodland in that..thats the difference!!!
