Intimation u/s 143(1)

02 January 2016 I hav got an intimation for A/y 14-15 where CPC has calculated my income from business by adding the sales with the profit which is wrong and my tax liability has gone up..what should I do to rectify such intimation.

02 January 2016 I guess you might have made mistake while feeding ITR form. Looking at your question it is difficult to say what exact mistake you have made. If this mistake can be resolved by filing Rectification Application then you can file it online. Remember that Rectification can only be done for mistake apparent from records.

02 January 2016 All intimations u/s 143(1) is processed by the computer without any human interface.
The software is designed to detect arithmetical inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the return and such software is placed at Central Processing Centre (CPC)

So, don’t get upset (and shout at your service provider!) if you get an intimation u/s 143(1) wherein as per the computation of Tax department, you are asked to pay any taxes. Generally, you will find that the Mismatch of taxes payable.
We have to correct it by filing rectification.
