We are procuring capital good under epcg and want to install the same at our vendors's factory who is supplying input material to us.

Can we insall the same at our vendor's factory? if yes, what is the process and condition for the same.

14 April 2012 yes admissible ....

Refer to para 5.3.1 of Hand Book Of Procedures vol-(1) 2009-2014

"can be install the capital goods at factory / premises of authorisation Holder or his supporting Manufacturer (s) Vendors Within 6 month from the date of completion of import"

in this regards,inform central excise officer(suptdt)[if u are registered in c.excise) otherwise before installation machine called a Independent Chartered engineer,whom will issue certificate about the installation as per provision laid down in the F.T.P. 2009-2014.
