Dear Sir,
I want to know if i can avail of cenvat credit against payment of service tax on car rental services. If so what are the parameters to be followed in this regard.

No- specifically excluded however if you can avail cenvat credit of excise duty paid on car you can take credit for eg (rent a cab operator or courier agency services etc)

Please explain your output service.. since service tax paid on rent a cab is available only specific service provider only

My output service is RENT A CAB SERVICE
I wish to know as a rent a cab operator, do i have an option under service tax rules to pay service tax on rent a cab service without taking 60% abatement. If so , what does that option say?
Under such situation, am I eligible to set off my service tax paid under cenvat credit?
