If we are appearing for cpt exam and suppose we fail then we have to pay the full fees again or some lumpsum amount.

In CA Exam fee and registration fee are separate.
Registration fee payable once during the registration and exam fee payable if you took exam .Once you not succeed in exam then you required to pay exam fee only.
Registration valid for 5 years . after that required to renew your registration by paying renewal fee.
