independent Director in case of Public limited company

16 January 2010 We have converted our company from Private limited to limited.
Now whether we have to appoint Independent Director as per the companies act. if yes then pls let me know the numbers of directors and time limit to appoint such directors.

16 January 2010 Independent directors needed for listed limited companies or companies who are proposed to be listed and not for all public limited companies. It is as per clause 49 of listing agreement.
