Independent director appointment

20 October 2015 Kindly give your views on the appointment of Independent Directors u/s 149 of CA 2013.

The Query is whether Son and Father who is otherwise no where related to the Company can be appointed as an Independent director in the Company.

21 October 2015 In your case, either Son or Father can be appointed as Independent Director. It is not possible for both of them to be ID at the same time.
