Income tax ward & refund of tds

25 June 2012 hi, i m working in a psu bank(salaried employee), i resides in delhi but for the purpose of job,i stay in kolkata. I want to on which PAN i have to file my return either on my PAN based ward or Bank PAN based ward I.e employer based Pan.

Q2 Mere grandfather ki Fixed deposit par bank ne 20% TDS cut kar liya h because unhone apna PAN April m bank ko diya tha...unki or koi income nahi h or unka Interest amt Rs 26000 tha jis par bank ne 5200 ka tds kata h and unka 26AS m bhi koi credit nahi aa raha h...Now how he can get back his refund???

25 June 2012 you can file your return either on your residential address or your working place whichever you want it will not create any difference

for F.D you can claim TDS refund which is deducted by bank but first request them to revised their tds return with PAN so that credit will reflect in 26AS and for the purpose of claiming refund by filing IT Return but first do as said and then claim refund otherwise you will have to face many problems so wait till tds will reflect in 26AS you have much time for wait.
