14 July 2010 can we file return for ass.year 2008-09 now if so what is the procedure
source of income -income from business with profit of rs 80000/- and no previous loss.

14 July 2010 you ought to have file return of income by 31/03/2010 for A.Y.2008-09. Now you can not file ROI.

However, if the department issues notice u/s 142(1) asking you to file return of income, then certainly you can file return of income.

I hope you must have received answer to file time barred return.
