24 July 2009 If any person who is not having PAN but applied for has income less than taxable income then can this person file return after 31st july or not, please give overview about this

24 July 2009 Without PAN one cannot file return.

However, as you mentioned that you have already applied for PAN and your income is not more than basic exemption limit then no need to file a return after 31st also.

This is because if an assessee has a taxable income or he has to claim losses then and only then it is mandatory to file a return.

24 July 2009 Abishek is right but even if u want to file a return you can do so even after 31st July.
once u receive your PAN no., go and file a nil return if u want to.
