Income tax refund credited to wrong person

Hello expert,I give one example hereunder. We filed X income tax return for AY 2013-14 and gave bank account number of Y wrongly .The income tax department aslo credited the refund to Y account number.With in the observation of the same fact Y died.Y already drawn the amount from his account.What is steps taken to get refund to X and who is liable to pay this one.

Regret to say that you dont have any right to under IT Act to recover the refund from that person as you yourself mentioned the wrong account number.
