I HAVE FILED MY RETURN IN PATNA FROM F.Y 97-98 TO 2003-04 & THEREAFTER AT BEGUSARAI.MY REFUND IS DUE ON THE RETURN WHICH HAS FILED IN PATNA.LAST THREE YEARS I AM CROSSPONDING WITH I.T DEPTT.IN PATNA FROM TOP TO BOTTOM OFFICER OF INCOME TAX BUT I HAVE NOT GOT ANY REFUND.PATNA INCOME TAX OFFICE HAS GIVEN ME A LETTER ,MENTIONING THAT YOUR PAN IS RELATED TO BEGUSARAI ITO SO BEGUSARAI WILL REFUND &BEGUSARAI TOLD THAT WE HAVE NOT ANY RETURN COPY SO HOW CAN I PAY.NOW WHAT SHOULD I HAVE TO DO ?IS THERE ANY FORUM WHERE I CAN COMPLAIN?OR I SHOULD GO TO THE HIGHCOURT?PL.SUGGEST.

Hi ,u must have deposited your returns in related ward .You can also submit return copies with acknowledgement to your ward.Then RTI is another way to track the refund.

you will have to file the complaint against that to RTI(Right to Information) Department.
