26 August 2011 Respected members,

I filed my client retun online on 27/06/2011.The refund amount is 24451 after wait of 2 month no refund or intimation send by income tax department, i consult some other C.A. thet told me go to the income tax bhawan & meet your assesseng officer & give him 5% of refund amount in advance then your assesement will proceed by assesing officer, without given 5% no chance of refund should process.
Plz tell me thats true without given 5% refund not proceed.

My english is week so forgive me any mistake in this Query. Plz plz reply

26 August 2011 Normally refund takes little more time. Since the return is e-filed, ITO has no roll to issue refund. CPC, B'lore will process your return and refund intimation will be forwarded to SBI, Mumbai. That bank will either issue cheque or directly credit the amount in the client's bank account according to the mode of refund sought for in IT return.

26 August 2011 How ever u can call CPC bangalore and check once. As the amount is less than 25000/- They will directly deposit the amount to the account. You need to wait atleast 3months.
CPC call centre no. 1800-425-2229 , pls be ready with the pan card of the client and ITR on your hand before you make a call CPC blore..
