18 October 2019 A company, Resident in India, is planning to open a subsidiary office abroad. The consultant helping over there, is asking for a tax clearance certificate.
Does the department issues certificate for such a case? Whether this is mandatory? Or we can tell the consultant that it is granted for the purpose of purchase/sale of property only.

Please suggest.
