09 December 2008 What is the difference between sales and turnover?

10 December 2008 Very often these two will be used as synonyms. However, in general terminology, sale is a pure figure of sales of a company whereas in case of Turnover this includes other income as well. And as we know the other income is very often a minimal to the sales figure, it became a practice to use both terms as synonyms.
